What is Sole Responsibility?
Sole Responsibility (SR) is a registered charitable organization based in Ottawa.
What is the mission of sole responsibility?
To increase involvement in physical activity for youth primarily in under-serviced communities in the National Capital Region. Sole Responsibility will:
- Finance school and recreational programs with equipment or footwear to increase participation
- Provide seed funding to increase opportunities by supporting existing programs in their development of fun and inclusive activities
Who is eligible to apply for a grant?
Schools and/or recreational organizations that provide inclusive physical activity programs for children and youth in under-serviced communities.
What is the money to be used for?
The intent of the grant is to enhance existing programs to enable more participants, to elevate the program to a higher level of engagement, to increase accessibility, and/or to improve materials/equipment to increase enjoyment for all involved.
How much money can we attain from Sole Responsibility?
Up to $1,000/year per grant.
