Dear Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in applying for a teaching or administrative position with the Sarcoxie R-II School District.  We ask that the following items be addressed as a part of the application process:
1. Complete the following teacher or administrative application form.
2. Email a copy of the following to sec@sarcoxie.k12.mo.us
                 *a cover letter
                 *current resume
                 *your transcripts.  An official copy of your transcript(s) will be required if you are employed.
                 *a copy of your Missouri certificate or verification of eligibility for a Missouri certificate.
                 *request your placement file be sent to us or enclose 4 or 5 recent letters of recommendation.
3. The district participates in E-Verify. Further documentation required upon employment.
Your application will become active once all of the above information has been received.  Your application will remain active until one year from filing, at which time you must resubmit a new application.  Please call the Superintendent’s Office at (417) 548-3134 if you have any questions about the application process.

Why Sarcoxie?
Sarcoxie R-II is a school committed to helping our children successfully attend college, a vocational school, or become employed with work-ready skills. We are the 2nd high school in the state to sign on with the Missouri Department of Economic Development for the National Career Readiness Certificate. The school has had state championship teams in golf, boys' track, and archery. The archery program has also claimed titles at the National and World levels as well!

Located on Interstate 44, Sarcoxie has 1,400 residents, many of whom travel 15 minutes to Carthage, 25 minutes to Joplin, or 45 minutes to Springfield for work. The school has about 750 students and has over a 70% free and reduced lunch population. We also have a 17% special education population.  Sarcoxie is looking for excellent educators who want to challenge themselves while serving kids who need the best teachers Missouri has to offer. Did we mention that we are going to a 4 Day School Week in 2020-21?

Wildwood Elementary serves PK-5 in a clean, historic building built by the WPA in 1939 with new wings added in the last few years as we have grown.  Sarcoxie Middle and High School serves grades 6-12 in a clean, attractive building with a new vocational wing. Both facilities have completed FEMA buildings which serve as a new gymnasium and Fieldhouse.  Sarcoxie R-II was awarded "Distinction in Performance" for 2011 and 2012 and increased on the state's annual performance report every year from 2004 to 2018.  Sarcoxie is becoming a progressive district with a 2 to 1 laptop ratio, districtwide wifi, and a new athletic complex with artificial turf.  Become a Sarcoxie Bear and help us on our journey toward excellence!
