We wanted to discuss the upcoming in-game purchase testing. Our aim with this test was to ensure that the in-game purchase system functions smoothly and to gather feedback from the community about their experience. We announced that this testing period would last right up until launch and that the players who participated in this test would have their progress retained.

A lot of you have spoken up about this, and there is a pretty clear feeling that this will be unfair to players who do not participate in this test. We think you’re right!

We want Once Human to launch in a state that is fair, fun, and challenging for all players. That means everyone needs to start on equal footing, and that means everyone needs to start on the same day. In response to your feedback, we have decided to entirely call off this in-game purchase test to ensure a level playing field for all players at launch. The game will see everyone on July 9th.

Rest assured that this decision will not affect the game's quality or our release plan. We will conduct thorough internal testing within the development team to gather the necessary data and make adjustments for this IAP test. This process will enable us to ensure that the in-game purchase system functions seamlessly and fairly for all players upon its eventual implementation. We appreciate your understanding and continued support.

We deeply value the voice of our community, and it has become apparent that an "early access" approach could create an unfair advantage. We want to ensure that Once Human offers a level playing field for all players at launch. We apologize to the players who were excited to get in early and keep their progression, but we hope this decision results in a more enjoyable launch for all of our players.
