Are you willing to serve as a table captain? A table captain helps facilitate conversation, takes notes from your table's discussion, and present's your table's titles and opinions to attendees. This includes very short summaries and whether your group believes each titles is a contender for the award. *
Do you have any additional "wildcard" titles to suggest for the Mock Elections? We will be compiling an additional, optional reading list to be sent out at a later date that will include titles that don't fit nicely into a single category. For example, the picture book "Last Stop on Market Street" by Matt de la Peña and illustrated by Christian Robinson which won the Newbery Award in 2016 and the young adult graphic novel "This One Summer" by Jillian and Mariko Tamaki which won a Caldecott Honor in 2015. You may also include additional suggestions for the Printz, Newbery, or Caledcott Mock Elections below.
