Passive House Workshop with Deborah Moelis - October 23rd from 6:00-8:00 PM, The Commons

Deborah Moelis AIA is a Principal and a founding member of Handel Architects. She was the design principal of Sendero Verde, a 709-unit residential building in New York City, which opened in 2024 and is now the largest fully affordable Passive House building in the world. She has lectured extensively on the principles of Passive House design previously, including presentations at North American Passive House Network, AIANY, Greenbuild DC, nZeb in Wexford, Ireland and the International Passivhaus Institute conference in Vienna, Austria.

Ms. Moelis will be joining us to share her expertise on enclosure detailing, MEP systems, and the Passive House certification process. This interactive session will be a great opportunity to deepen your understanding of high-performance building design. We are lucky to have her, and as a Michigan alumni, we can’t wait to have her back.

This event is co-sponsored by Climate Fututes & AIAS. Dinner will be provided, rsvp to join
