Petition the City to Move Forward on Municipal Broadband
The internet has quickly evolved from a novelty to a daily necessity. Affordable, reliable, and fast internet access is a critical issue facing the city of Cambridge today.

The previous City Manager identified these critical issues and created the Broadband Task Force in 2014 to recommend the best path forward.

The current City Manager has rejected the recommendation of the Broadband Task Force released in 2016. In doing so, he is considering only the cost of a municipal broadband network, while ignoring the revenue and other benefits. We call on the City Manager to conduct a full feasibility study as recommended by the Broadband Task Force in 2016.
