Textbook Loan (Course Reserves) Request
Welcome to our textbook request page! For the safety of our students and staff, we won't be able to provide our typical in-person services. We are implementing this process by which you submit your request online and we will contact you for pick-up if your loan is approved. To reduce the amount of shared contact with textbooks, your loan will not be due back until the end of the summer session.

Our staff is dedicated to helping you. Please read the following information carefully.

To qualify for book loans
1) you must be currently enrolled for the Summer 2020 session
2) you are able to present one of the following: your EVC/SJCC Student ID card, valid driver's license/California ID, proof of registration or confirmation email

Step One - COURSE RESERVES ARE LIMITED. Browse our collection via this link https://tinyurl.com/ycgsje25 to see if your textbook is available.

Step Two - To best serve you, this form must be filled out completely and accurately. You may only checkout one textbook (with lab manual if applicable), but you may submit a maximum of 3 separate requests. Course Reserve Requests will be accepted on a "first come, first serve" basis. As the library building is closed to visitors, the requests will be prioritized by the order in which we receive requests through this online form. Incomplete forms may delay your position in the textbook request queue.

Step Three - If your request is approved, you will receive an email in 1-2 business days with instructions for pick-up. Do not come to campus unless you receive a confirmation email. Requests will be evaluated on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9am to 2pm. Check your Inbox and Junk mail folders for emails from evc.circdesk@evc.edu.

Borrowing is free, but if items are returned past their due date, late fees will be assessed. Replacement fees are assessed for lost or damaged books.

Email evc.circdesk@evc.edu or call (408) 270-6433. We are monitoring calls and emails Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. We do not recommend leaving your request by phone or email as it may delay your position in the textbook request queue.

If you submit a request and decide you no longer need the book, please contact us to cancel the request.
