Thank you for your interest in the Master Recycler Program. We are a community education project that informs others to reduce waste, recycle, and compost.
As a participant you will receive more than thirty hours of comprehensive training in solid waste issues. The seven evening training sessions are on Thursday evenings from September 12th, 2019 through October 24th. Most classes take place at 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the Marion County Public Works office, located at 5155 Silverton Rd. NE, Salem. The training also includes two Saturday fieldtrips (tentatively 9/14 & 9/28) to local recycling and composting facilities, which begin at 8:30 am and finish by 3:30 pm.
Please fill out this application completely and return it as soon as possible, but not later than August 28th, 2019. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis with preference to people who work and/or live Marion County. Each class is limited to 30 people. Attendance at all of the classes and field trips is a course requirement. If you need to miss more than one class, please wait to take the class until your schedule will allow you to attend all of the classes. If more than one class conflicts with the observance of your religion, please let us know.
Thanks for your enthusiasm and interest in reducing waste and saving natural resources!
