FOUNDRY OFFICE HOURS : MONDAYS AND FRIDAYS
We’ve started a big research project in our little office.
We’re screening every Foundry production, dialogue, and community program in chronological order until we’re done. We started October 18th with The Foundry’s first production, W. David Hancock’s Convention of Cartography, and we suddenly realized something was missing. You.

Come join us for any of these. Office hours are now open for the rest of the process.
Mondays @ 6:30 Fridays @ 4:30
Reservations are (spatially) necessary; First come first served.

@ The Foundry Office
140-142 Second Ave. Ste 405 (9th St. & 2nd Ave; next door to Veselka Restaurant)

All Productions will be screened in full; Dialogues and Community Programs will be excerpted

Friday, December 9th : Money Talks: Series #1 and Series #2 2001 & 2003 (pre and post 911) + Patriot f(Act)s 2003 [Foundry Dialogues]
Money Talks; The Economy for Dummies
Excerpts from a series of roundtables with economists and journalists who helped us critically unpack the workings of contemporary economics—local, national and global— and its effects on the fabric and evolution of our culture. Hosted in 2001 and again in 2003, Money Talks also looked at some of the economic influences on the state of the approaching war and diminishing civil liberties post 911.
Patriot (f)Acts
Excerpts from Patriot F(act)s, a teach-in with civil liberties lawyers, journalists and City Council members, who provided a critical examination of the USA PATRIOT ACT and helped us explore NYC'S City Council RESOLUTION 909 proposing that New York join 155 cities and 3 states in declaring itself a “Patriot Act Free Zone.” And on a deeper level, the discussion examined the effects of The Patriot Act and surveillance on the nature and evolution of our culture.
