No Kid Hungry Missouri Afterschool Meals & Snacks Program Grant Application
No Kid Hungry Missouri and the Family and Community Trust (FACT) are offering competitive grants of up to $3,000 to implement or expand afterschool meals and snack programs supported by either the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) At-Risk After School program.

Schools and organizations who meet the following eligibility criteria are invited to apply:
◆ Meet all applicable licensing, health, and safety standards;

◆ Be a school with a free/reduced-eligible student population of 50% or higher; OR be an organization located in the attendance zone of a school with 50% or higher free/reduced-eligible student population;

◆ Benefiting school, sponsor, or site must be based in Missouri;

◆ Be in good standing with the appropriate state oversight agency(ies);

◆ Commit to implementing/expanding afterschool meals program no later than the first day of school after the New Year’s holiday.

◆ Submit this application no later than December 15, 2018

Activities supported by this grant could include, but are not limited to:

◆ Purchasing equipment associated with the production, distribution, or storage of afterschool meals and/or snacks;

◆ Creating and distributing materials promoting afterschool meals and snacks;

◆ Informational outreach campaigns to families and students including phone calls, text messages, and social media;

◆ Coordination of transportation.

Grants will be awarded based on completeness of application, thoroughness of project descriptions, need, and capacity for program participation and growth.
