You will be informed via email when a place has been allocated before term starts in September.
This fixed term agreement shall last from 1 September 2018 until 19 July 2019, during whichtime the school will provide a minimum of 30 instrumental lessons as selected below.(Students entering Year 11 will be provided with 25 lessons ending at May half term 2019.)
The school will invoice parents for the appropriate amount which may be paid either in fullor by 10 monthly payments via ParentPay. (Year 11 students and others starting lessonslater in the school year will be charged proportionately less).
The 30 (or 25) lessons provided under the agreement shall be the minimum number, whichin practice is likely to be exceeded (at no extra charge). All lessons will take place in normalschool hours unless agreed separately (e.g. after school lessons available in certaininstruments).
Once entered into, parents may NOT terminate this agreement early. Should students stopattending lessons, they will still have to be paid for by parents as we have ‘bought’ thelessons provision for a full school year. In some cases we may be able to replacestudents IF we have a waiting list so please contact us directly.
Lessons which are missed by the student due to absence will not be refunded. This includesabsence due to school trips or off-site activities. If there is a particular issue such as a test/exam/trip/medical appointment which only takes up part of the day, please contact email@example.com in advance and every effort will be made to swap the lessons.
If the agreed 30 lessons cannot be provided by the school (due to staff illness etc) then acredit or refund for the missing lessons will be made at the end of the agreement period.
It is the responsibility of students and parents to check the time of the weekly lesson. Halftermly timetables will be published on the Music department noticeboard and can also bedownloaded from the school website (via CURRICULUM > MUSIC LESSONS).
Students must provide their own instruments for lessons (except piano and drums).Guitarists will be provided with amplifiers but must provide their own leads.A formal report on each student’s progress will be written during the second half of theyear. Instrumental teachers are also happy to communicate with parents at other times ofthe year via firstname.lastname@example.org.
Parents are responsible for ensuring that any instrument/equipment brought into school isadequately insured and labelled on the outside. The school is not liable for any damage or theft.
All students receiving instrumental lessons in school must regularly attend at least ONEensemble/group listed below. Students who are beginners may be made exempt at thediscretion of the ensemble director.

Breach of this agreement may result in lessons being suspended by the school at full price.
The Finance Department or Head of Music may, in exceptional circumstances, terminatelessons with immediate effect.
