Waves of Wisdom - Laguna Beach Unified School District's Living Library

Here is a wonderful opportunity for our Laguna Beach community to connect, share, and inspire our LBUSD students through our virtual "Living Library." This unique library is designed to ignite students' love of learning and curiosity by curating engaging and meaningful conversations with a diverse array of local experts, professionals, and passionate, knowledgeable individuals. Through 15 to 20-minute Zoom sessions, curated and facilitated by our district teacher librarians, students from our elementary, middle, and high schools can dive into a wide range of subjects and explore various career paths, all within a structured and quality-assured environment.

Community members are invited to sign up via this Google form, committing to possibly one brief yet impactful interaction per year. This not only supports our college and career department's efforts by providing real-world insights but also enriches our students' educational journeys by connecting them with the rich tapestry of knowledge and experience our community has to offer, based on their personal interests and passions. For those interested in diving deeper, there will also be opportunities to visit our schools for in-person career talks, and perhaps offer a closer look at specific fields for a smaller group of students by becoming a mentor.
