The Cullowhee Native Plant Conference encourages recipients of a scholarship through the CNPC Sponsorship Program to create and exhibit posters, research documents, or works of art or literature during the conference. Topics should center around native plants, ecological restoration, botany, conservation horticulture, landscape design, etc.
Exhibit items can vary but any research posters should conform to typical academic standards. Exhibitors will need to supply backing support for their posters, like cardboard or posterboard so that the poster isn't floppy. Easels will be provided.
The exhibits will be judged and a prize awarded for the favorite among a select group of conference attendees and Conference steering committee members.
Selection Criteria
Proposals will be reviewed and selected based upon the following criteria:
• Unique, cutting edge or timely subjects
• Anticipated attendee interest in the subject matter
• Appropriateness for the conference
• Presentation skills
Poster Description Deadline
Your complete description must be received in the scholarship application for review and consideration by the Sponsorship Committee.
Confirmation
The Sponsorship Committee will review proposals and make selections. An acknowledgement will be sent to confirm the status of your proposal shortly after all applications are reviewed (early May).
Submit Description

Exhibits will be reviewed during the conference by steering committee members and the poster that best meets the selection criteria mentioned above will receive a full ride to the following year's conference.
