Mentor sign-up form for Spring 2024
Please fill out your information below if you would like to be added to the list of potential mentors for the CCB-SEEDS Mentorship Program at UCR for Spring 2024.

The deadline to sign up is Friday, April 12th, 2024, but feel free to sign up earlier than that! Please note: if you are recurring mentor please fill out this sign up form again for Spring 2024.

For those that have signed up, thank you! We will be in touch during Week 3 of Spring 2024 to discuss next steps and review mentor expectations.

Program description
The objective of this program is to introduce undergraduate students to research areas, lab/field methods, and the graduate student experience in ecology, evolutionary biology, and conservation biology fields through mentoring by graduate students. Mentors will be expected to put in only ~3 hours of week per week, including:
  • Facilitate meetings with mentee
  • Provide exposure to lab/field work within existing research projects and/or exposure to important scientific literature
  • Provide advice on beginning undergraduate research, choosing a career, and navigating the world of science
  • Assist mentees in procuring research credits for their work in the lab
