Guidelines:Submissions must be no longer than 15 minutes in length.
You must complete the online form.
You must supply us with a link to a downloadable file of your film. We will not consider submissions of films that do not provide downloadable links.
A Downloadable Link: A link to a downloadable version of your film on such sites as Vimeo is a common mode of submission. We can also accept submissions via Dropbox and Wetransfer. NOTE: We must have the film file itself before your submission is complete. We cannot do initial screening from links to web players such as Youtube. We will not download files from Youtube or any other site via third party applications.
When transferring via Wetransfer list Steve.Cleberg@kctcs.edu as “friend.”
Submissions must be digital files in their final, viewing condition.
The resolution of the file you submit must be 720p or higher. If selected, we will screen the file that you submit.
INTERNATIONAL FILMS: All films not rendered in the English language are required to include English subtitles that are embedded into the rendered file.
You must agree that you have sole ownership of the content within the file on the online form.
You are required to grant permission for us to convert the file to a form compatible with the Festival player and projector, if needed. No changes will be made to the content of your film in this process.
If you answer “no” to either of these requests on the online form, your film will not be considered as an official submission.
We will send you email verification when your submission is completed. Due to the large number of submissions, we are unable to individually contact each entry that has not been selected. An email announcing the official selections will be emailed to all entries.
It is unlikely that submissions which contain graphic sexual or violent images and/or gratuitous profanity will be selected as official entries. Beyond this, we encourage flights of imagination and original artistry. We feel that the short film is an excellent vehicle for such experimentation and exploration.
Did I mention that there’s no submission fee?
The Autumn Shorts Film Festival will announce early official selections from those entries submitted prior to the early deadline. Those who submit early and are not named as an early official selection are still eligible for official selection at the final deadline.
