Thank you for your interest in joining the Kawartha Youth Orchestra (KYO). We are thrilled to offer a diverse range of musical programs designed to ignite and foster a lifelong love for ensemble music in a safe and supportive community.
About KYO Programming:
Our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible music education, create a vibrant musical community, and promote personal growth among young musicians. We offer a variety of programs tailored to different skill levels and interests, and are proud to be able to offer a more varied, extended suite of programs than we have ever done before!
- The Orchestras: Fee-based training for instrumental musicians aged 8-24, including Senior, Intermediate, and Junior orchestras.
- Ensembles: The KYO offers ensembles in classical, world, and non-classical styles. Ensembles include beginner folk music and the KYO jazz band.
- Group Classes and Courses: Affordable classes in instrumental performance, as well as group classes in music theory, composition, orchestration, and Digital Music Production.
