ICAHD's 2017 Summer Building Camp Questionnaire
Because the ICAHD 2017 Summer Building Camp spends time in the Occupied Palestine Territory and is about strengthening your involvement in the global movement for peace in the Middle East by learning about the issues and how to advocate for justice, it is helpful for us know more about you.

Important: ICAHD does not provide travel and health insurance cover. Camp participants must make sure that they take out a policy which covers them for the duration of their trip. You are required to inform us of your insurance company and policy number before travel. Travel agents are able to provide advice on available policies.

1. How did you learn about ICAHD's 2017 Summer Building Camp?
Your answer
2. Have you ever travelled to the Middle East and if so, when, where and why?
Your answer
3. Please describe any involvement with activism, social change, or human rights work.
Your answer
4. Please explain why you want to join the ICAHD 2017 Summer Building Camp.
Your answer
5. Participation in the ICAHD 2017 Summer Building Camp carries a responsibility to use the experience as a basis for advocacy and education once you return home. Therefore the camp also includes opportunities to go on field trips and to hear from Israelis and Palestinians who work in various ways for equality and human rights and who oppose displacement and judaisation. Participants will receive ICAHD resources and sessions on advocacy will be included to help equip you to tell your story once you return home. Are you willing to report back to your networks and to tell others about your experience either by speaking to them or by writing about your participation in the summer camp? For those from countries with existing ICAHD groups, are you willing to join the organisation and work to strengthen their campaign, maintaining your connection with ICAHD?
Your answer
6. Do you have any skills that could be useful during the camp – experience with house construction, Arabic speaker, musician, photographer, videographer, journalist, IT knowledge, etc?
Your answer
7. Are there physical or health limitations that we should be aware of? Please state any chronic health problems that you have. Note that all necessary medication must be brought from home. All camp participants need to be physically fit and able to work in the heat.

Upon acceptance to the ICAHD 2017 Building Camp, participants will be asked to fill in and sign an additional form which covers health information, waiver of liability and acknowledgement of risk.
If your application is approved a non-refundable deposit of $300 is required to secure your place on the ICAHD 2017 Summer Rebuilding Camp and must arrive no later than 5 working days after notification that your application was successful, to the country which has processed your application. The full camp fee is also accepted at that time. Should you require staged payments, please contact info@icahd.org. All balance payments are due by 1st June 2017.

Please check the equivalent rate at the time of the payment found on www.dollars2pounds.com. Failure to do so will mean your place could be offered to applicants on the waiting list without further notice.

The final deadline for all applications is 15th May 2017, unless spaces are allocated ahead of this date. In the event that the building camp is fully booked ahead of this deadline, we will issue a notice to advise applications are closed, until next year’s building camp is announced. Approved applicants will be sent details regarding how to make payment.

Reports, photographs and film footage from previous ICAHD summer camps can be found on ICAHD UK’s website, www.icahduk.org. A reading list and further details about the building camp will be provided in due course.
