About

In 2012 Fiona Hathorn decided to launch Women on Boards UK. Women on Boards UK’s aims are simply - to encourage and support women applying for board roles across the Public, Private and Not for Profit Sectors.

Adding a board appointment or directorship to your CV is a sure way of drawing attention and validating your capabilities whilst catapulting your career up the ladder of success. There are many benefits to be gained from this career portfolio strategy.

You will hear about the top 7 reasons why being a director will benefit your career.

Finding a board appointment that suits your interests, skills and geography takes patience, determination and effort. It is important to be clear on the type of role you are looking for and what skills and networks you are able to bring to the table.

Who is this for?

This programme is designed for managers and leaders who are interested in learning about what goes on in the boardroom and why they should be thinking about board and committee roles sooner rather than later.

Hosted by Women on Boards

Women on Boards UK (WOB) is an action-oriented social enterprise supporting women, and some men, to leverage their professional skills and experience into non-executive director and other board-level roles.
