KINDERGARTEN should choose Scratch Junior. It is 30 min introduction to using an iPad version of Scratch, and building a simple game, plus a 30 min introduction to Lego Robotics.
GRADES 1-3: Scratch is a coding platform designed by MIT, and used to teach millions of kids around the globe. Our program is suitable for absolute beginners as well as those with experience.
GRADES 4-6: For those looking to build something fun with code, choose our Web or Gaming classes with HTML & Javascript. Javascript is a great language to create something out of nothing very quickly. For absolute beginners, Web class is easier than our Gaming class. For those looking for structured learning or prior experience, try our Python class. We admit advanced 4th & 5th graders into Python with prior approval.
GRADES 6-8: Middle school is a perfect time to start learning Python. Students are mature enough and understand enough of the math to make it both fun and rewarding. We use a high school curriculum for Python, and will cover more material in depth than most introductory courses online or at most tech camps. We also offer Advanced Python for AI and Machine Learning for high school grades.
GRADES 8-12: Java is recommended for most high school students since it is the language they need for the AP Computer Science course. Our introduction eventually leads to a course preparing students for the AP Computer Science test. It is a language used extensively in robotics as well as mobile development.
