Event Description:

Defy+ 2SLGBTQIA+ Self Defence is for anyone who identifies as a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, ages 10 and up. The 3-hour workshop includes a wide variety of physical and verbal self-defence techniques, awareness and avoidance of threatening situations, and discussions of sexual violence, relationship violence, harassment, and more. This is accessible self defence - we invite participants to look at how our bodies work right now – without changing a thing.

Friday, March 21st, 2025 1-4pm

Please note: You must be available for the entire workshop to attend.

Location: The workshop is in person and hosted at the University of Windsor. More location information will be provided by email to registrants ahead of the workshop. 

Eligibility:  Defy + is for anyone who identifies as a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, ages 10 and up. If you are looking for women's self defence, please contact us! 

Deposit Required: You will get an email after submitting this form with deposit information. The deposit is $10 (cash, e-transfer, or PayPal) and is required to finalize your registration for the workshop.

Cancellations:
Please cancel ASAP via email (to arudzins@uwindsor.ca) to ensure that someone from the waitlist can fill your spot if you aren't able to attend! If you cancel 72 hours in advance you will be eligible to receive your deposit back (in the same manner it was provided).
