TPU Paper Studio Rental Interest Form
Thank you for your interest in renting the paper studio at The Patchwork Underground. It is a pleasure to make this equipment available to fellow paper makers. Please fill out this questionnaire so that I can better understand your project and needs. 

This opportunity is intended for folks with previous paper making experience. One-on-one guidance is not provided as a part of the rental but I will be around to assist you in getting started and to show you the specifics about the equipment here. 

Filling out this interest form does not guarantee you to a day at The Patchwork Underground paper studio. It is the first step in communicating your needs to see if I can accommodate your project. A rental day runs from 10am-4pm. A $100 rental fee includes:
1 hour to beat one batch of pulp (1# dry fiber)
3.5 hours of time to pull sheets and load the dryer 
1.5 hours to clean up.

What type of fibers will you be working with? i.e. Are you using dry sheets of abaca or cotton linter? Old fabric that will be repurposed? Or will you be working with raw plant material such as iris or kudzu? Would you be interested in purchasing dried fibers that I have on-hand or do you have your own? *
If you are working with raw plant material, will you be processing the plants before your rental day? Or will you need access to tools for cutting, cooking, and rinsing your plant material as a part of your rental? Note this would happen on one day and pulling sheets would happen on a second day. Please include any information that you have about the plants that you are working with.
Do you plan to bring inclusions (pressed flowers or string, etc), pigments for coloring your pulp, or other additives? If so, list them here. *

I currently have mould and deckle sets that are 5.5.x 8, 8 x 11 and a 20 x 28 deckle box. Will these sizes work for what you want to create? *
Are you bringing any of your own equipment or tools (mould and deckle set, pellons, etc)? *
Do you intend to restrain dry your paper? This could take up to 48 hours and is included in the cost of the rental. Will you be able to pick it up within a week of your rental day or will you need it mailed to you? Note that you would be responsible for paying for any shipping charges associated with mailing your paper. *
The paper studio is set up outside. With the exception of the restraint dryer, all work will take place outside. There will be a 10 x 10 tent provided for you if you choose to use it.  *
