RSVP: The Return Of Crimea
Please join us on Tuesday, March 6th at 6:30 PM in Room 102 at 19 University Place for a panel discussion on the return of Crimea - its return to Ukraine, and to conversations and matters of importance around the world.

If you do not have an NYU ID, please make sure to bring a valid picture ID with you.

The event "The Return of Crimea" calls upon the Ukrainian community and those concerned about the fate of Crimea and its people, following the peninsula’s illegal referendum and annexation by the Russian Federation in March of 2014.
This event will mark four years since the fateful series of events that led to the collapse of democratic order and human rights in the Crimean peninsula, only to be replaced by a regime of terror and persecution by the Russian Federation and its proxy powers.
"The Return of Crimea" considers scenarios in which Crimea is rightfully returned not only to Ukraine, but as well as tunes into the conversations happening around the world on how to protect freedoms and human rights in times of disruption and uncertainty. Most importantly, "The Return of Crimea" will discuss the return of justice to Ukrainian Crimea, in the various forms it may take.

The Panel will be moderated by Myroslava Gongadze, journalist, Chief of VOA's Ukrainian Service

Opening Remarks by Ambassador Volodymyr Yelchenko, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the United Nations.
