Yvette’s Local Entrepreneur Scholarship Fund Application
To commemorate Yvette Jones' dedicated years of service on the Dane Buy Local Board of Directors, Dane Buy Local established the Yvette's Local Entrepreneur Scholarship Fund at Madison Community Foundation. Yvette is the founder of designCraft Advertising and strongly believes that entrepreneurship and small business aspirations should not be limited to young people with privilege, means, and existing connections. This fund aims to nurture the entrepreneurial aspirations of young individuals by offering scholarships to graduating high school seniors in the local area. These scholarships are intended for students who seek future entrepreneurial opportunities and plan to pursue post-secondary education programs that equip them with the necessary skills for independent business ownership. To apply, please complete the form below.

This application is due by March 1, 2025. The scholarship will be announced at your school’s scholarship award program or by May 15, with scholarship payments awarded in August 2025.

Please write an essay explaining the importance of personal integrity in an activity such as sports, the classroom, or a living situation. The essay should be no more than 300 words.

Please ask a teacher who is familiar with your interest in business write a letter of recommendation for you, and submit it to Yvette@designcraftadvertising.com (Hint: after the teacher writes the letter for you it is polite to send them a written thank you note.) The letter must be submitted by March 1.
