Region 8 Labor Day
Dear PEF Region 8 Members,
Region 8 would like to invite everyone to the Michael L. Burns Labor Day Celebration, which will be held on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1. PEF Region 8 is a sponsor, along with Capital District Area Labor Federation, the Labor Day Parade Committee, and the Greater Capital Region Building and Construction Trades and everyone wants a BIG turnout! 

This year, there is no parade. Instead, there will be picnic with hamburgers, hotdogs, steamed clams, and all kinds of summertime fun including activities for the whole family: horseshoes, a rock wall, a bounce house, and more. Bring your whole family! Labor Day is our day to celebrate and remember everything that labor unions have achieved while preparing for the challenges ahead. 

We hope we get to see you on Labor Day at Lanthier’s Grove (4 Dunsbach Ferry Rd., Latham, N.Y). The celebration starts at 12pmand runs until 4pm. It is entirely free for Union members and their families! Please RSVP by 8/20/25.
