Please register for sessions that you will attend. Each session has a limited capacity and sessions will be updated if they are filled. We will contact you a few days prior to the session to verify you can still attend to ensure we have enough supplies available for all projects. Applique - 2/2 4:30 pm Makery - Bosler 014
Applique -Brenda Landis will teach you how to decorate a piece of fabric with a cut out shape and sew it on to it. Feel free to bring along a bag or piece of clothing at attach it to although we have an ample supply of material at the Makery.

Soap Making - 2/8 5pm Rector - Stuart 2112
Soap Making - Professor Amy Witter, Professor Don Carr and Matt Steiman from the Farm will teach you how to make soap. Soap will be made from vegetable or animal fat and participants will take home a sample of their creation.

3D Design/Print - 2/21 4:30pm Bosler 020
3D Design and Printing - Brenda Landis will teach you how to create or modify a 3d file using Tinkercad. Files will then be submitted to be printed for pick up at a later date.

Lizzie Wilford will teach you how to felt sheep's wool that has been harvested from the Dickinson College Farm.

Build a Yard Game-3/7 4:30pm - Scene Studio-HUB
The Scene Studio Technical Director, Jason Nedrow, will teach you how to measure, cut and fuse pvc pipe into a yard game. The PVC pipe used for the project will be repurposed from the fall 2016 play.

Music Video Part 1 - 3/22 4:30pm Bosler 020
Julie Savage-Lee and Josh Martin from the Media Center will teach you how to use lighting and cameras to record a live performance that will be the basis for a music video. Part 2 will teach you how to use the video editing program, Premiere, to splice live and found footage into a polished music video.

Puppets and Masks - 3/23 Noon Prop Studio - Montgomery
Professor Sherry Harper-McCombs will lead a session on creating cardboard puppets and masks. Projects will be picked up at a later date after drying.

Tiny Robots - 4/4 4:30pm Bosler 020
Brenda Landis will teach you the basics of using the attiny Arduino board to program a tiny robot built from pager motors and a few other components. The session will end with a tiny robot dance party.

Print Making - 4/10 4:30pm Bosler 020
Professor Todd Arsenault will teach you how to modify a picture using photoshop to then be printed onto a transparency. The group will then move to the Print Studio in Weiss so the transparency can be used to transfer the image to a solar plate for printing. Please bring along an image you would be interested in turning into a print.

T-Shirt Upcycling 4/11 Noon - Costume Studio - Montgomery
Costume Studio Supervisor, Julie Bounds, will teach you how to upcycle t-shirts into a new creation. Bring along a t-shirt and your ideas. Additional t-shirts will be provided for projects as well.
