ESL Fall 2026

Hello ESL Student,

Thank you for your interest in the ESL program! Here is some helpful information:

The OBPL offers free English classes at the library and online. The classes are taught by experienced volunteers.

Fall 2026 classes start:

Tuesday, September 15 to December 1 from 7:00pm to 8:30pm

Wednesday, September 16 to December 2 from 10:00am to 11:30am

End of year food share event: December 8

Classes happen once a week, and you can choose the morning OR evening classes.

 There are four different skill levels based on your English abilities.

To find the right class for you, all new students must go to a 1-hour orientation.
If you are joining online and cannot attend orientation, we will set up a phone assessment instead.
