SCA Middle School Volunteer Form 2024-2025
Dear Middle School Parents,

Looking ahead to the upcoming school year, we have some fun events scheduled for the Middle School, as well as some other opportunities to help and get involved.  Please fill out this form with your information and also choose which committees interest you by marking the appropriate boxes.  This is a great way to get involved and any help is very much appreciated!

Grade Level Chairs for Incoming 7th grade/Class of 2030:  4 Chairs are needed to represent families from both MP and SR.  This is a 2 year commitment.  You will be required to make monthly meeting that will coordinate with HS president and HS chairs as well as principle and other administration at times.  You will be required to communicate and send out emails to your groups in an efficient and timely manner as well as, at times, help volunteer with any school functions that may need extra help such as the SCA Fair, school events/parties, fundraising, etc...

Finance Chair - 1 Chair Needed.  Work with Middle School President to oversee and approve Middle School budget/events

Opening Day Picnic for new 7th Graders: 2 Chairs and volunteers needed.  On the first day of school, 9/3/24, help welcome the new 7th graders with a picnic!  Coordinate, volunteers, pizza, ices, waters, setup/clean up.  Will have to start organizing prior to start of school by mid August.

SCA Fall Fundraiser Kickoff Party - New this year...instead of luncheon, this will be held at night on Sept 18, 2024 .  Chair and Volunteers are needed to organize this important SCA Fall 2024 fundraising event. Planning will start mid August.  Help organize donations, silent auctions, raffles, vendors, decorations, check in. Volunteers also needed throughout the event as well. Sure to be a fun night for all to benefit our school and students!

Welcome Back MS Dance Party  - 2 Chairs and Volunteers Needed.  Welcome back all Middle School students with this event.  It will be held indoors in the Middle School gym on the evening of Friday, 9/27/24. Help coordinate DJ, games, snacks, waters, decorations, chaperones and security check in/check out.

Halloween Dance Party -  2 Chairs and Volunteers Needed. This fun event will be on Friday, 10/25/24. Need to start planning in mid-September with organizing DJ, games, pizza, waters, snacks. Will need many volunteers that night to setup decorations, check in/out, chaperone, serve food, set up, clean up, and help with activities throughout the night.

Middle School Photo Day - 1 Chair and Volunteers Needed.  Chair will coordinate volunteers thru sign up genius with photo day schedule.  Will work with photographer and HS photo day chair to make sure there is coverage.

Membership/SCA - 1 Chair needed to promote SCA membership dues at Open House.  Middle school chair will attend HS open house.  Another date may be required if needed

Staff Appreciation Luncheon - This will be held in May.  We need a 1 MS Chair to work with the HS Chairs.  Volunteers are needed to assist in decorating, set up, donations, serving food, clean up, etc.

SCA Fair - Chairs and Volunteers Needed
This will be on Saturday, May 3, 2025. In order to keep this traditional fair going, we desperately need chairs and volunteers to make it happen!  Any amount of time is helpful!  Grab a group of friends to run a booth or make new friends by volunteering a few hours of your time.  Remember all the fundraising from the SCA Fair go back to our students and it cannot happen without parent help!

End of the Year MS Party - 2 Chairs/Volunteers Needed. This fun event will be held June 12, 2025.  Will begin planning in April/May.  Organize DJ, games, prizes, food, snacks, waters, and volunteers.  Coordinate donations and volunteer to help decorate, set up, hand out food, supervise games, security, and clean up.

Planet Manhasset - Need a Chair for the Middle School as well as volunteers.  Maintain the Secondary School Butterfly garden in close coordination with school administrators and teachers and also gather the help of students and other community groups.
