Hook&Loop members have been using their lived experiences with mobility devices to help the team at the Rotunda build an accessible ramp to the stage. Celebrate the grand opening of this new ramp at our ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Hook&Loop members Bing and Phoebe Dilworth.
Then enjoy our OPEN MIC stacked with music, dance, poetry, comedy, and performance art from local Disabled, Chronically Ill, neurodivergent, and mad artists.

WHO CAN BE A PART OF THE OPEN MIC? We welcome anyone who feels validated by the work Hook&Loop is doing to be a part of our OPEN MIC!

DO I GET PAID TO PERFORM? Unfortunately we do not have the funds to pay our performers this time around. In fact, although this event is free to attend, Hook&Loop is using PASS THE MIC to actively raise funds for our general operations and public programming! We need financial support and hope you can be a part of raising those funds. Help us continue to create more accessible events/creative practices with your amazing talents!
WHAT CAN ARTISTS SHARE AT THE OPEN MIC? Artists are welcome to share anything that can be done on a stage - music, poetry, dance, DJ, spoken word, comedy, etc (we may be able to share video/pre recorded work upon request)!
All performance have a MAX time of 15 mins.
IS THIS FORM HARD TO FILL OUT? IS IT LOOONG? This form has a total of twelve (12) questions that ask for your contact info, what you would like to do, technical needs, and access needs. None of the questions are mandatory. You can answer each question with as much or as little information as you'd like.
