2018 Learning for a Sustainable Future Student Program - Expression of Interest
EASL is piloting a student program that intends to strengthen students’ image of their future. The program will teach students necessary leadership and project skills to take sustainability action in their own lives and broader communities. After participating in the program it is anticipated that students will feel empowered and will be able to clearly communicate the changes they want to see in the world, both locally and more broadly.
The program involves a one day conference style event in addition to before and after online lessons, facilitated by the EASL coordinator. The conference day, to be held in Term 3, will have students complete workshop sessions to further develop their project management skills and increase their knowledge of sustainability issues within their region.
The pilot program will be limited to three schools per EASL council, with a maximum of 5 students attending the conference day from each school.
This Expression of Interest intends to find out what current projects are happening at your school and the direction that you would like a student led project to take.
