Participation in Review and Revision of National Forest Policy
As we all are aware, India has had a long history of organised forest management. Along with the several laws present, India has had three National Forest Policies till date. The last National Forest Policy of 1988 brought about a shift in terms of objectives and focus from the previous two forest policies. After twenty seven years of its implementation, a need of the review and revision of the forest policy has been recognised by all the stakeholders. This task of Review and Revision of National Forest Policy has been entrusted to Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. We take this opportunity to invite you to participate and contribute in the process with comments and suggestions.
