An Ecobrick is a reusable building block created by packing clean and dry used plastic into a
plastic bottle to a set density. Known as "ecobricking", the production and the use of ecobricks have become a global movement of citizens in search of plastic waste solutions. Ecobricking is a both individual and collaborative endeavour. The ecobricking movement promotes the collaborative process as a means to encourage communities to take collective responsibility for their plastic waste and to use it to produce a useful product. An Ecobrick Starter Workshop will be organised by the Global Ecobrick Alliance in the conference. The workshop is open to public and free of charge with registration.
