Proposals are considered based on:
- The needs and interest of our community
- The library’s overall programming goals
- The suitability of our available spaces
- The expertise and experience of the presenter
Please note: All library programs are offered free of charge to patrons.What happens after you submit this form?
- Acknowledgement: Our program lead will email you within 2 weeks to confirm we’ve received your proposal.
- Review: Our programming team will carefully review your submission at our bi-monthly program meetings.
- Evaluation: We’ll look at factors such as community interest, alignment with library goals, and scheduling availability.
- Decision: You’ll receive a response within 2 months regarding whether your program will move forward.
Timing to keep in mind:
Kennett Library plans its program schedule
approximately three months in advance, which leaves limited flexibility to add programs outside of that cycle.
The library strives to offer a balanced variety of programs. Proposals for programs similar to those already scheduled may be considered but not guaranteed for inclusion. To follow our established timeline for review, processing, planning, and marketing,
programs that are selected are typically scheduled no sooner than four months after proposal.
Please note: Kennett Library reserves the right to decline a program for any reason.
