Awards are given each year at the Annual Meeting of the Maryland Public Health Association, providing a great opportunity to recognize deserving Maryland colleagues or others whose work you admire! Outstanding Public Health Program Award

The Outstanding Public Health Program Award is given to a public health program that demonstrates high quality service, dedication in providing services, and an innovative and impactful approach to reducing health disparities in Maryland.

  • Serves as a leader in public health practice that addresses health disparities
  • Demonstrates dedication in providing services and programs
  • Offers an innovative approach that leads to improved public health
  • Involves equitable participation that advances opportunities and health status in the state of Maryland

Leadership Award

The Leadership Award recognizes an individual that demonstrates excellent leadership and a strong commitment to encouragement and engagement in the public health profession.

  • Demonstrates innovative leadership skills that encourage the engagement of public health students and professionals in activities that contribute to public health successes in Maryland
  • Positively impacts the professional development of public health students and/or public health professionals
  • Inspires creative and collaborative work in the public health field that values and honors diverse experiences and perspectives
