Awards are given each year at the Annual Meeting of the Maryland Public Health Association, providing a great opportunity to recognize deserving Maryland colleagues or others whose work you admire! This year’s meeting will be held on December 11, 2025 at 6pm. Completed applications are due by November 25, 2025 at 11:59 pm ET.
Outstanding Public Health Program Award
The Outstanding Public Health Program Award is given to a public health program that demonstrates high quality service, dedication in providing services, and an innovative and impactful approach to reducing health disparities in Maryland.

Leadership Award
The Leadership Award recognizes an individual that demonstrates excellent leadership and a strong commitment to encouragement and engagement in the public health profession.
- Demonstrates innovative leadership skills that encourage the engagement of public health students and professionals in activities that contribute to public health successes in Maryland
- Positively impacts the professional development of public health students and/or public health professionals
- Inspires creative and collaborative work in the public health field that values and honors diverse experiences and perspectives
