Homework Club Contract 2023/2024
What is "Homework Club"? Homework club is a safe space at CMS where students receive academic assistance. CMS staff, foster positive relationships in safe and supportive environment allowing students to gain essential lifelong skills. Our program will be on a drop-in basis as needed. Students will receive direct support on assignments. Your child will be added to the HW Club group in Schoology once they have filled this form out.

Materials Needed:

1) Bring your computer or device and any on paper materials you need to complete your work. Exit tickets to be filled out at the end of HW club.
2) Any assigned work that students need to work on.
3) A book to read in case a student finishes all of their work, to help maintain a quiet working environment

Purpose of Homework Club is for students to have a quiet environment to work in and get assistance on any homework from a staff member.

BEHAVIOR GUIDELINES AND EXPECTATIONS:

1) Students need to have necessary materials to complete their homework either online or on paper. Bring a book to read if all assignments are completed, as to maintain quiet for those who still need to work.

2) Students will respect ALL students and staff members.

3) Students MUST adhere to school appropriate technology agreement at all times. 

4) Homework club is not a time to socialize. It is a time to work

5) Students may NOT take pictures or videos of other themselves, other students, or staff while at Homework        Club.

6) Students may NOT leave early, unless a note is provided by the family.

 7) Students may bring snacks, but it is important that they clean up after themselves. It is important that they respect that. IF they abuse this privilege, then they will be asked not to bring snacks until they can be responsible. 

8) All school rules apply.  This means:  NO MUSIC, COMPUTER GAMES OR PHONES

9) If students don’t follow any of the above behavior and school rules, then the following
will occur:

           a) The first time a student doesn't follow expectations, they will receive a VOE (Violation Of
Expectations) write up, which will be filed as a record.

          b) The second time a student doesn't follow expectations , they will receive another VOE, it will be
given to admin, a call home will occur, and they will be asked not to return for 2
Homework Club Sessions (1 week).

          c) The third time a student doesn't follow expectations, they will receive a last and final VOE,
which will be given to admin, they will receive a final call and be asked not to come back.
