SoCal FTC Kickoff 9/12 2026 Attendance Form
Please register for 1 Kickoff event if you plan on attending. *Your entire team only needs to register once.* 
We will be having workshops at our main location.

If you are attending, we are also offering pre-orders for pizza, snacks, and drinks so your team can spend more time discussing strategy and planning your robot design instead of waiting for food. A concession stand with additional snacks and drinks will also be available during the event.

  • 7:45am - Doors Open/Check In (game elements given at check in)
  • 8:30am - La Canada School Board Welcome
  • 8:40am - Theresa and Bob’s Presentation
  • 9:00am - Game Reveal Pre-video from FIRST, then game video
  • 9:30am - 10:15am Session #1 (S1)
  • 10:15am -10:30am  Break
  • 10:30am -11:15am Session #2 (S2)

Live Scan Information
All volunteers, coaches, and mentors over the age of 18 need to be live scanned to comply with CA laws. Below are the requirements to be live scanned at Kickoff. You must pre-register. The people will be there from 10am-12pm at La Cañada High School.

The applicant would need to go through the online portion just like they would if they were going to any of our live scan locations.  Here are the specific step by step instructions.  

Steps to Utilize ApplicantServices
  1. Use the weblink/URL: https://applicantservices.com/firstca/Login?SectionRequested=TransactionPurchase%2F%3Fcbid%3DCAAPP_AZ768_VOL_EVENT
  2. Enter your Email Address
  3. Enter the 6-digit Code (sent to your email each time)
  4. Click Next to Enter your personal information
  5. Click Next to select a location.
  6. If you wish to be fingerprinted at the SoCal FTC Kickoff - La Cañada Event, select the event SoCal FTC Kickoff - La Cañada Event as shown.
  7. If you do not see the event, search the address 4463 Oak Grove Dr, Pasadena, CA 91011
  8. Follow the remaining steps until you receive a 7 character “Payment ID”
  9. Attend to the appointment to complete your fingerprinting
  10. FYI, if you are ever asked for a “Group Code” on the website, your “Group Code” is “FCRVPE”
