Registration is compulsory to officiate in any matches under NLSA jurisdiction. Ideally referees should be registered prior to officiating 11/ side matches in the outdoor season.
Clubs or regions are encouraged to have their referees use this method of registering, but if they prefer can submit a spreadsheet to the registrar Martin Batterson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Referees should register with the club/ league where they will do the majority of their officiating. For instance if a referee does most of their games with Metro League but occasional house league games with CBS, they should register with Metro League.
Registration fees will be paid by the responsible club/ league, and generally subtracted from game fees.
Please note that if you have not registered with the NLSA as a referee for 2017 and 2018 you will need to contact the NLSA referee committee for procedures for re-registration.
In order to complete registration all referees must pass a short refresher exam. There are two exams, one for those who have only completed the small-sided referee course (1 day course, teaches refereeing small-sided soccer only, open to those 12 and over), and one for those who have completed the entry level course (full 16 hour course with exam, qualifies candidate to act as referee or assistant referee in 11/side soccer).
District refresher (those refereeing 11/side soccer) can be found here:-https://goo.gl/forms/yBee633ZuPcTbzLj2
Please complete the exam before registering here.
If there are any issues with your registration, you will be contacted at the e-mail address provided, otherwise you can assume you are registered.
