WHS Care Fair: Birth Doulas [Application]

Whole Heart Space's Care Fair is a free monthly community event at Whole Heart Space designed to help parents and parents-to-be connect directly with trusted perinatal professionals — without the overwhelm of endless online searching.

Each Care Fair highlights a specific focus area and gives attendees the chance to meet practitioners face-to-face, ask real questions, and explore supportive options for their growing families.

We’re looking for practitioners who share our values of empathy, inclusivity, and collaboration — essentially folks we’d wholeheartedly recommend to a friend (pun v much intended 😆).

✨ Participation Details

Event Days/Time:

H1: February 21

H2: August 15

12:30 - 2pm


Sliding Scale Table Fee:

We ask practitioners to contribute a table fee on a sliding scale: 

- Community: $10

- Standard: $25

- Supporter: $40

Please choose the fee that feels most comfortable for you or your business. Your fee includes: Marketing to our Whole Heart Space community (social media & email) before the event, A reserved table space (table, tablecloth & 1 chair included, unless you prefer to bring your own), + Support from our team during the event to keep everything running smoothly

To make the most of your Care Fair table, consider bringing:

- Business cards, brochures, flyers, or handouts with info about your services

- Promotional items or freebies that families might take home

- Visual displays like banners, table signs, or photos to show your services in action

- Interactive elements such as mini demos, guided exercises, or short handouts that people can engage with

- A raffle/giveaway

*You are welcome to bring a sheet or way to collect participants info.

Table Setup:
Your table will be 1 4ft table + a tablecloth and 1 chair. Wifi is available. Please let us know in advance if you need electrical access or need a table larger than that.


✨ Who We’re Looking For — Practitioner Examples

For the Birth Workers Care Fair, examples of practitioners we hope to include:

- Midwives (home, birth center, or hospital-affiliated)

- Bodyworkers supporting pregnancy (massage, craniosacral, acupuncture, etc.)

- Placenta encapsulation

- Birth and newborn photography

- Holistic birth support specialists (herbalists, prenatal nutritionists, etc.)

- Lactation consultants specializing in early postpartum

- Locally made prenatal gifts/goods


Choosing Your Care Fair:
If you’re unsure which Care Fair to join, don’t worry! There’s often overlap between categories, and you’re welcome to join more than one, or pick the one that best fits your services or the clients you hope to reach.

What's Next:
Care Fair applications are checked weekly on Tuesdays. You should expect to hear on the next Tuesday following your application. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Our response will include a confirmation for the fairs you've applied for and a link to pay the table fee (there will be a waitlist).
