Enclosed is a survey used to collect information about your post-Loyola plans, graduate school and professional endeavors. The information you provide will help the McNair Scholars Program at Loyola University Chicago submit its annual performance report to the U. S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education/Federal TRIO Programs. We will collect information from graduating McNair Scholars at the end of senior year (DECEMBER/MAY) and at least once a year after leaving Loyola (OCTOBER/MAY; up to 10 years).
The McNair Scholars Program is required to report on the project participant (McNair Scholar) for a period of ten (10) years after the attainment of a bachelor’s degree. The information you provide helps support the McNair Scholars Program at Loyola and allows it to continue for future Loyola students.
Through a grant competition, funds were awarded to Loyola University Chicago to prepare eligible participants for doctoral studies through involvement in research and other scholarly activities. All grantees funded under the McNair Program must submit an annual performance report (APR) as a condition of the grant award.
The Department of Education uses the information provided in the McNair Annual Performance Report (APR) to assess a grantee’s progress in meeting its approved goals and objectives and to determine a grantee’s prior experience points in accordance with the program regulations (34 CFR 647).
If you have any questions, please contact Marcela Gallegos, McNair Project Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you for your support. The McNair Scholars Program at Loyola is always happy to hear from you!
