    Nicholas Norris '14 | 2014 Grant Recipient

"This grant offered me a way to discover new places and allowed me to cover the material and travel costs. It gave me the opportunity to travel to Norway and be part of a residency. Norway is a place completely foreign to me. It opened me up to a landscape that I would have never imagined encountering. When I think of Norway the words that come to mind are silent and vivid. Having the opportunity to see this new place and make new work there opened up a world of possibility. I learned about my approach as an artist and how I react to different environments."

    Hillary Stucker '14 | 2014 Grant Recipient

"This grant gave me an opportunity to attend a national conference for professionals in the field I am attempting to get into (Art Conservators). This trip gave me a much more realistic idea of what it was like working in this field, as well as the persistence it would take to get in. I made professional contacts with others across the country who are working in the field."

    Rangeley Morton '14 | 2014 Grant Recipient

"This grant supported my professional development by allowing me to ship three of my furniture objects to a national juried exhibition in Minneapolis."
