The 2019 Institute will be held in the city of Ottawa July 10-11, 2019. (downtown venue tba).
2019 Theme: Weaving Stories. Tailoring Spaces: Libraries as Fabric of the Community Libraries have a role in the cultural fabric of communities and provide a sense of civic pride. Libraries are woven into communities when people are engaged and consulted about design, space requirements and programs that animate the spaces. Libraries of all types support, respond to and reflect community needs. People need to feel that the library is theirs.
The design of the library influences the space which informs a person’s experience and attachment to that space. Dig deeper and find out about strategies, techniques and opportunities to deliver spaces that belong to all and inspire, welcome and delight! Mark your calendars for July 2019 when we bring Canada’s largest multi-sector library space planning conference to Ottawa, Ontario.
DEADLINE: FRIDAY MARCH 15, 2019

Powerful, relevant images are encouraged; avoid lists and bullet points.* Presenters will be asked to provide their final images by June 31st, for amalgamation into one a single, consolidated slide deck.* Presentations will occur in sequence, with a short opportunity for questions and discussion at the end of the session.
