Please complete the grant application form on the following page in its entirety. Grant Forms must be in to The Cowtown office by Friday, November 10, 2017 either by e-mail, mail, online or walk-in. Funding is limited, so apply as soon as possible and have all information available. Grant forms received after November 10th, 2017 will not be considered. After review, final approval for grants will be decided and recipients will be notified by Wednesday, November 15, 2017. The decisions will be final. All potential grant schools must attend a school coaches meeting at The Cowtown office:
• FWISD In-Service Coach Meeting: Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Southwest High School Time TBD• Thursday, August 31, 2017, 5:30pm at the Cowtown Office• Saturday, October 7, 2017, 10:00am at the Cowtown Office
** Please note you must attend ONE coach meeting to be eligible for the grant or contact the C.A.L.F Program Coordinator to discuss the program.**
If your school is chosen to receive a grant, you must have at least one training visit from The Cowtown staff/volunteers prior to race day. Eligible children for the race must be actively enrolled at the school or community center applying for the grant, must be participating in your running program and must participate in a race on Saturday, February 25th, 2017. Underwriting by The Cowtown is limited to $8.00 of the Student entry fee for the Kid’s 5K or 10K races. Funding is only available for school team youth entry fees. The cost will be $7 for a grant student to run the Kids 5K and $9 for a student to run the 10K.
The Cowtown C.A.L.F. grant program is designed for disadvantaged students who otherwise would not have the funds to participate.
