Scholarship Application Instructions:

1. Your complete PreCollege application (https://sfaipubliced.slideroom.com). If financial circumstances prevent you from paying the application fee, please contact the PreCollege Office at 415.749.4554 or e-mail precollege@sfai.edu

2. Your parent/guardian’s most recent 1040, 1040A, or 1040EZ tax forms and supplements by e-mail (precollege@sfai.edu), fax (415.351.3516), or mail (SFAI PreCollege, 800 Chestnut Street, San Francisco, CA 94133)


Need-based scholarships are available to a limited number of students on a first-come, first-serve basis. Scholarships are reviewed using the Federal Methodology approved by Congress to estimate your Expected Family Contribution (EFC Calculator: http://www.finaid.org/calculators/finaidestimate.phtml).

REAL ESTATE AND INVESTMENTS. Enter market value of other real estate, investments, stocks, bonds, certificates of deposit, precious metals, etc. *
NET HOME EQUITY. Net Home Equity is the net value of the family's primary residence, the difference between the current market value and the outstanding balance owed on the mortgage. If you were to go to a bank and take out a home equity loan, this is the maximum amount you would be eligible to borrow, assuming the bank were to allow you to borrow against the full equity of your home. *
NET WORTH BUSINESS OR FARM. Enter market value of your business or farm. Include inventory. *
