As a representative of the above school, I understand that poor conduct and irresponsible, dangerous or illegal behavior will not be tolerated on a digital campus. All individuals affiliated with the team/school will be instructed to avoid inappropriate online behavior that would detract from having a positive experience at California State University, Fullerton’s Fall Invitational (virtual) M.S. & H.S. Speech and Debate Tournament. Additionally, we understand and will adhere to the tournament’s following guidelines:

· All students and guests must respect the digital campus and policies, including showing respect to other teams, coaches, or judges, and conducting themselves in a professional manner at all times. All students will complete sign or electronically sign honor codes.

· One coach or chaperone is responsible for monitoring or tracking students’ digital participation at the tournament and should inform tournament staff if student participants and/or judges are engaging in inappropriate behavior. The same coach or chaperone must be reachable/accessible by phone or Zoom during the entirety of the underage students’ participation in the virtual event.

· The University and tournament directors shall be held harmless from any and all risks, injuries, and claims, including attorney’s fees of damage of personal property, which may occur as a result of my program’s participation in the activity, including travel to, from, and during the activity.

The tournament staff reserves the right to remove competitors and guests who do not adhere to the tournament’s rules and campus policies. Any violation of the above guidelines or any other university policy(ies) will be dealt with in accordance with applicable university policies and procedures, which may include disciplinary action, immediate suspension of my permission to participate in the program and/or any legal action as may be required by local, state or federal law. Legal prohibitions regarding physical presence on campus/trespassing may also be pursued in the event that I am requested to suspend all activities pending further investigation.

I am 18 years or older. I understand that this document is written to be as broad and inclusive as legally permitted by the State of California. I agree that if any portion is held invalid or unenforceable, I will continue to be bound by the remaining terms. I have read this document, and I am signing it freely. No other representations concerning the legal effect of this document have been made to me.
