I've been certified through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) since 2012, with nearly three decades of fitness experience, and I will be delighted for the opportunity to help you in your journey.

(I take Mondays off for other ministry work I do.)
I recommend starting with me 3/days week.I will lead you through a 3 day split routine, working different parts of the body each of the 3 days, with rest days in between (or Cardio). I am in the gym 6 days/week, so you have 2 options for this:
Option #1:Tue, Thur, & Sat at Planet Fitness.(for beginners)
Option #2:Wed, Fri, & Sun at the Nashville Athletic Club(for the more serious/hardcore/dedicated. The lifts on these days will be more challenging.)

After a few weeks with me, you should feel comfortable enough to go on your own, and change the times/days to what works best for you. A month at the most should be all you would need. (Anywhere from 9 - 12 sessions). You need to try to hit each of the 3 workout days with me at-least once or twice (Tue, Thur, & Sat, or... Wed, Fri, & Sun).
Many people cannot afford a good personal trainer. The average personal training session is $50/hr session. The reason my price is so low, is because I consider it partly a ministry to the body of Christ. I have made it as affordable as my time will allow, to make it available to as many as possible.
Being one of my workout partners in the gym, you will learn by osmosis, and I will be there to teach you everything you need to know for a lifetime of success in the gym. You will save yourself years of mistakes, injuries, and lack of progress. Believe me when I say, this will be worth every penny. I will be watching your every move to correct any mistakes in your form.
The importance of exercising, properly, with resistance cannot be overstated. It is for everyone, young and old, male or female. To have strong muscles is to be healthy. The older you get, the faster your muscle percentage declines, and the more important resistance exercise becomes. With a loss in muscle follows a decrease in bone density. After that you begin to lose your balance. Losing muscle causes a cascade of events which equal aging. Resistance exercise is one of the best things you can do to slow down the aging process. It is also one of the best things you can do to lose fat. You can do many things to lose weight, but you don't want to just lose weight, because that means muscle and fat loss. You want to lose fat in particular (visceral and subcutaneous). Cardio burns muscle and fat, and you are only losing fat while you were doing the cardio. Exercising with resistance though, builds muscle, and causes you to lose more fat all day long, even while you are sleeping! The almost endless benefits to resistance exercise would require a book to state, for which many books have been written. Not only will you have greater balance, decrease the risk of heart disease, have greater reflexes (which will make you a better driver), help you cope with stress, help control anger, anxiety and depression, makes it easier to control Diabetes, improve the functionality of your lungs, build strong bones, etc... but you will also get more toned and sexy looking! There are only great benefits to be had for training with resistance exercise. No, it will not turn you into the Incredible Hulk unintentionally,... that requires an extreme lifestyle to attain, gifted genetics, and doesn't happen by accident because you picked up some dumbbells. Women do not need to worry about this. But, if you want to better the quality of your life, then training with weights is for you! It is not as scary as it may seem to join a gym and workout. It is rather enjoyable, your energy will pick up once you get in there, and I will be there to help you.
I will give you all kinds of advice as you work with me, including calorie counting and diet tips if you so desire (your health and weight are based upon 30% exercise, 70% diet).
I will make sure you know every exercise you need to know for your personal goals, show you proper technique both on machines and free weights, explain proper rest times for maximum results, etc… and before you know it, you will have the confidence to continue on your own. You will be years ahead of the pack!
It is extremely important to begin with professional help, so that you do not injure yourself. Safety, and improving ones longevity and quality of life are my highest priorities personally, and I will pass that good standard on to you. I am in the gym every day, and I see so many people lifting wrong that I almost weep for them, and the trouble they will cause themselves down the road, but I cannot help people who do not ask for it. You cannot go into the gym and replicate what you see most people doing, because most people DO NOT know what they are doing.
Not only will this be one of the best $$$ you’ve ever spent, but you will thoroughly enjoy yourself along the way. I am very fun to work out with, and I will challenge you!
