Montezuma LLC is proposing a massive carbon capture and storage project in the Bay Area. The company proposes to drill a huge injection well near sensitive wetlands in southern Solano County, across Suisun Bay from Pittsburg & Antioch. Dangerously compressed carbon dioxide (CO2) from oil refineries and power plants around the Bay would be collected and transported by barge and pipeline through the Bay to the injection site, where it would be pumped underground.
Sign up here to help inform our communities about this dangerous project and gather signatures on our petitions to local decision makers urging them to oppose the project. We will have a petition, fact sheets and fliers you can use to flier and table.
Please let us know if there is an event or location you can table or flier at, when, where and whether you can help organize a group of volunteers to join you.
