The Audition Registration Form must be completed for each person who is interested in auditioning for Newsies. This production is open to ages 10 through adults. Main and understudy roles, as well as the Newsies schedule and the Audition Registration Form can be found at
on the "Newsies" tab at the top of our home page.
Auditions and callbacks will be held as follows:
• Friday, January 3rd, 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm – Initial auditions
• Saturday, January 4th, 8:00 am 12:00 pm – Initial auditions
• Saturday, January 4th, 3:00 pm to 8:30 pm – Call Backs
Auditions and Call Backs are held at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is located at 1601 N San Francisco St, Flagstaff, AZ 86001
After you register, you will be contacted with your specific initial audition time.
Due to the limited amount of time for auditions, you must attend auditions at the time you are assigned. We cannot change or modify your audition time.
There will be no additional audition dates or make-up dates for auditions. Due to time constraints, there will be no auditions by Face-time or other social media. All auditions must be completed in person.
Initial auditions will last no more than 5 minutes. Participants need to be prepared to sing a song from Newsies and may be asked to read or repeat lines. Once a performer auditions, they will be free to leave, regardless of how many parts they are interested in. Performers can enter their character preferences on the registration sheet. Performers need to be prepared to read a few lines from the script. The lines will be provided upon registration. Participants may also be asked to repeat dance movements.
Performers will be notified by email and phone if they have a call back. For participants auditioning on Saturday, January 4th: you will be notified before Noon if you have a Call Back for that afternoon. Please make sure to check your email and voice mail accordingly.
At Call Backs, participant should be prepared to read, sing and act in character and have a song prepared from Newsies.
