Submission Guidelines
By applying, you agree to:

  • Host the approved experience in its entirety, as detailed in your submission.

  • Submit all required documents and photos by the designated deadlines.

  • Provide free public access during the OHMIA experience you are hosting.

  • Secure all necessary permissions for public access.

  • Provide on-site staff to welcome participants, guide them, and collect attendance data.

  • Promote both OHMIA and your hosted experience on social media and your website, and display OHMIA signage on-site during the event.

By submitting a registration form, the property owner or lessee (hereinafter referred to collectively as the Host) affirms that the Host and Open House Miami (OHMIA)/ Miami Center for Architecture and Design (MCAD) have agreed. Host acknowledges that it is solely responsible for security for its site (Site) and that OHMIA exercises no control over, nor assumes any responsibility for, the actions of the members of the general public (Visitors) that are invited by the Host to visit the Site during the Open House Miami Weekend (Weekend) on April 2- April 4, 2027.

OHMIA and its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and invitees shall not be responsible to Host or Host's agents, employees, invitees, or lessees, or for any loss, theft or damage to personal or real property, or any personal injury or death, occurring on or to the Site during or in connection with OHMIA activities including, but not limited to, the Weekend, except to the extent caused by OHMIA and its officers, directors, and employees. Host shall assume all liability for loss, theft, or damages to personal or real property, or personal injury or death, occurring on or to the Site that may arise. Host may choose, at its option, to require all Visitors to sign a general liability waiver upon entering the Site. That waiver may supplement, but does not replace, this agreement.

Host agrees that Site has general liability insurance in force during the Weekend, and coverage extends to all areas within the Site that Visitors might access. Host agrees to provide evidence of insurance in the form of a certificate of insurance issued by the Host's insurance provider or broker. Host further agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless OHMIA from all such liability and against any such claims. OHMIA shall only be liable to Host for acts, errors and omissions directly caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of OHMIA.
