The Orlando Fringe Festival Scholarship
The members of the Orlando Fringe Festival established two
$500 scholarships for one area High School senior who is interested
in majoring in Fine Arts in college (includes art, music, theater,
technical theater, theatre education, arts management, and/or dance.)

Additional qualifications as determined originally by the members of the Fringe
Teen Committee Scholarship Review Team:

• Sincere interest in your chosen field
• Ability to work well with others
• Academic promise (minimum GPA of 2.5)
• Concern for others as demonstrated in extra curricular participation

The scholarship will be administered by The Orlando Fringe Festival. Selections will be determined by the scholarship committee of the Fund after study of the applications received.

The scholarship committee will consist of designated members of Fringe Teens Committee, and two members of the Orlando Fringe Board of Directors.

Applications are due by May 1st.

----Guidelines for the Orlando Fringe Festival Scholarship----


The Orlando Fringe Festival Scholarship Fund was created to provide scholarship(s) to one Orange County and one Seminole County Area High School graduating senior pursuing further study in fine arts in college (includes art, music, technical theatre, theater, and/or dance.)

In order to apply for this scholarship a student must:

1. Be a graduating senior at from a school in Orange or Seminole County.
2. Plan to attend a two or four year college or technical school within the
United States
3. Plan to major in Fine Arts in college.
4. Show academic promise (minimum GPA of 2.5)
5. Show concern for others as demonstrated in participation in extra
curricular school or community activities
6. Write a 750-word essay.
7. Include a resume listing experiences in all activities in high school.

Final selection of the scholarship winners will be decided (subject to the approval of the
Board of Directors of The Orlando Fringe Festival) by a Scholarship Advisory
Committee of Orlando Fringe. The Advisory Committee consists of six persons from the
community at large. No member of the Advisory Committee, or his or her immediate
family, is eligible for scholarship assistance during his or her tenure on the Advisory

The scholarship awards will be announced at The Orlando Fringe Award Ceremony.
The payment will be made,after the selected student notifies the fringe director about
the school he or she will be attending. Payment will be made to the student.
