Ways of Seeing Registration
Discover spaces and places to explore inner and outer worlds, both real and imagined to make digital illuminated self-portraits for the Bathurst Winter Festival 2019. Work with illumination designers ESEM Projects and renowned local media artists Henry Denyer-Simmons and Nicole Welch to develop, produce and present your work in the Keppel St illumination. Create and visualise your own narrative, learn how to make a moving digital self-portrait using projections, photography and video.

Ways of Seeing is a participatory digital arts project that allows young residents of Bathurst (18-25) to contribute to the making of digital illuminations and projections to be featured as part of the Bathurst Winter Festival 2019. Participants will be selected to participate in a series of workshops with local artists to co-create a series of moving image self-portraits reflecting on identity and place in a tech world of flux and change.

The workshops will be held on on the following dates:

6-8pm Tuesday 21 May
6-8pm Wednesday 22 May
6-8pm Thursday 23 May
6-8pm Tuesday 28 May
6-8pm Wednesday 29 May
6-8pm Thursday 30 May

Workshops will be held at Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, 70-78 Keppel Street, Bathurst

Please note not all participants will be accepted into the workshops, you will be notified the outcome by Friday May 17.
