Technical Workstream: standards development work and reference implementations to demonstration security labelling related to Shift use cases. This group will meet regularly starting in Jan 2024.
Clinical Expertise Work Group: Stakeholders with clinical subject matter expertise to support Shift technical, user-experience and consensus-driven guidance work around use cases, with emphasis on clinical safety, usability, and clinician burden. This group only meets on an ad-hoc basis.
Patient Perspectives Work Group: Patient and patient advocate groups support Shift user experience and consensus-driven guidance work around use cases, with emphasis on patient, family and patient partner experience. This is a non-technical work group. This group only meets on an ad-hoc basis.
Legal & Policy Work Group: Stakeholders with legal and/or policy expertise to provide guidance on federal and state policy and regulation impacting Shift’s work, as well as to draft regulatory comments on behalf of Shift. This group only meets on an ad-hoc basis.
Ethics & Equity Work Group: Stakeholders with expertise in health care ethics and health equity to provide guidance across Shift’s work, ensuring the following. This group only meets on an ad-hoc basis.
- Shift work is conducted in an ethical and equitable manner.
- Shift work is driven according to basic tenets of ethics and with a health equity lens.
Terminology Work Group: Stakeholders with expertise in clinical informatics, terminology value sets and ontologies will be working to define granularity of nationally available value sets relevant to Shift's use-cases and make recommendation to Shift Board for VSAC steward to develop, update, and maintain open source sensitive data value sets.
